Most Australian coolroom panel suppliers won’t publish prices online. You fill in a form, wait a day, and get a PDF with markup baked in. That’s not how we do it. This guide lists our 2026 ex-works pricing for 35mm, 50mm and 75mm EPS coolroom panels — straight off the shelf at our Adelaide warehouse.
TL;DR — Cool Room Panel Prices, Adelaide (June 2026): 35mm from $30/m (~$31.58/m²), 50mm from $48/m (~$41.74/m²), 75mm from $63/m (~$54.78/m²). Z-lock joining, Australian Standards compliant EPS core, Surfmist or Offwhite Colorbond skin. Adelaide warehouse stock, same-week SA delivery, Australia-wide on request. Request a custom quote →
What Affects Cool Room Panel Pricing
Before comparing quotes from different suppliers, understand the four levers that move the price. Some are obvious; others are where shady suppliers hide margin.
1. Panel Thickness
The thicker the panel, the more EPS foam core and steel skin you’re paying for. The jump from 50mm to 75mm adds about 30% to the per-metre cost — but it’s worth it if you’re storing chilled or frozen product where R-value matters.
2. Length
We stock fixed Z-lock lengths: 2.4m, 2.7m, 3.0m, 3.6m, 4.2m, 4.8m and 6.0m. The per-metre rate stays effectively flat across lengths — a 3m panel and a 6m panel work out to the same $/m. Cut-to-length service is available on request.
3. Skin Finish
Standard skin is Colorbond steel in Surfmist (light grey) or Offwhite. For most cool rooms, Surfmist is the sensible choice — clean, food-safe, easy to wipe down. We also stock Mill Finish and specialty patterns on selected SKUs.
4. Order Volume
Single-panel orders sit at retail. Trade buyers and multi-room projects get trade pricing — see our Adelaide stock page or ask the team for a project quote.

Cool Room Master — Adelaide Price List (2026)
Below is our live ex-works pricing. These are the same numbers shown on our product pages. GST included.
EPS Z-Lock Wall Panels (Surfmist or Offwhite Colorbond skin)
| Thickness | 2.4m | 2.7m | 3.0m | 3.6m | 4.2m | 4.8m | 6.0m | Per m | Per m² |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 35mm (950mm cover) |
$73 | $82 | $91 | — | — | — | — | $30 | $31.58 |
| 50mm (1150mm cover) |
$115 | $130 | $145 | $173 | $203 | $230 | $288 | $48 | $41.74 |
| 75mm (1150mm cover) |
$152 | $170 | $190 | — | — | — | — | $63 | $54.78 |
Why two prices? $/m is the price for one linear metre of panel. $/m² is what your wall actually costs to clad, because panels have a fixed cover width (the usable face once the Z-lock interlocks). 35mm panels are 950mm wide; 50mm and 75mm panels are 1150mm wide. The wider 50mm/75mm panels mean better $/m² than the linear price suggests.
EPS Insulated Roofing Panels (50mm, painted Surfmist, 1000mm cover)
| Length | Price | Per m | Per m² |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3.6m | $234 | $65 | $65.00 |
| 4.8m | $312 | $65 | $65.00 |
| 6.0m | $390 | $65 | $65.00 |
Why roofing panels cost more than wall panels at the same thickness: they’re trimdeck-profile (corrugated) for water runoff, with painted weather-grade skin. Not interchangeable with wall panels.
How to Choose: 35mm vs 50mm vs 75mm
The biggest cost decision you’ll make. Here’s the practical breakdown.
35mm — Lightweight Partition
Cheapest option at ~$30/m (~$31.58/m²). Suited to non-temperature-critical partitions: a workshop wall, a hobby room divider, a partition between two rooms in a shed. Not recommended for actual cool rooms or freezers.
50mm — The Standard Cool Room Panel
At ~$48/m (~$41.74/m²), this is what most customers order. R-value handles +2°C to +5°C cool room temperatures comfortably. Strong enough to self-support standard wall heights without extra framing.
75mm — Freezer-Grade Insulation
At ~$63/m (~$54.78/m²), the cost is about 30% more than 50mm but the R-value is meaningfully higher. Use for freezer rooms (–18°C), commercial cool rooms running 24/7, or external walls in colder applications.
Don’t over-spec. We see customers pay 30% more for 75mm when 50mm would do the job. If your cool room is short-cycle (less than 4 hours storage), 50mm pays back far faster than 75mm. Ask if you’re unsure.
EPS vs PIR vs Rockwool — Which Insulated Panel Should You Buy?
Cool Room Master stocks EPS Z-lock panels as standard — they’re the right tool for 80% of jobs. PIR and Rockwool are available on request when a project genuinely needs them. Use this side-by-side to decide.
Quick Comparison
| Feature | EPS | PIR | Rockwool |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thermal performance | Good | Excellent | Good |
| Acoustic insulation | Basic | Moderate | Excellent |
| Fire resistance | Combustible | Self-extinguishing | Non-combustible |
| Weight (lighter = easier to install) | ~16 kg/m³ core | ~40 kg/m³ core | ~80 kg/m³ core |
| Structural strength | Good | Excellent | Good |
| Relative cost | $ | $$$ | $$ |
| DIY friendly | Easiest | Moderate | Moderate |
| Most popular use | Sheds & cool rooms | Premium / refrigeration | Offices & accommodation |
R-Value (Thermal Resistance) Side-by-Side
Higher R-value = better insulation = lower running cost over the life of the cool room. These are indicative R-values for the standard panels we quote on.
| Panel Thickness | EPS | PIR | Rockwool |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50mm | R 1.3 – 1.5 | R 2.2 – 2.5 | R 1.4 – 1.6 |
| 75mm | R 2.0 – 2.2 | R 3.3 – 3.7 | R 2.1 – 2.3 |
| 100mm (on request) | R 2.7 – 3.0 | R 4.4 – 5.0 | R 2.8 – 3.1 |
R-values are indicative. Actual R depends on manufacturer, core density and construction. Our EPS panels use a 16 kg/m³ core, 0.45mm steel skins and Z-Lock join (50mm rated R 1.3–1.5, λ 0.042 W/mK). For a firm specification on PIR or Rockwool builds, contact the team.
Pick the Right Material for Your Project
| If you’re building… | Best material | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Storage shed, workshop or farm building | EPS | Lowest cost, lightest, easiest DIY install |
| Cool room (+2°C to +5°C) or chiller | EPS (50mm) or PIR | EPS does the job for most; PIR if you want lowest running cost |
| Freezer (–18°C) or 24/7 commercial cold storage | PIR | Highest R-value per mm — pays back in energy savings |
| Container house, granny flat or site office | Rockwool | Non-combustible + best acoustic comfort for living spaces |
| Studio, recording space or quiet workspace | Rockwool | Superior sound dampening |
| Budget-conscious general project | EPS | Best $/m² across the range |

Accessories You’ll Need Alongside Panels
Panels alone don’t make a cool room. Plan for these line items in your budget. Every accessory below has a published price on our site.
- Aluminium joining channels — corner, top track, jamb channels in 50mm and 75mm to match your panel thickness. Browse the parts and accessories range.
- Cool room door hardware kit — complete installation pack with hinges, handle, gasket and threshold ($199).
- EPS panel door package — pre-cut 50mm panel sized 2340×820mm ($399).
- Roof panel gutter and end channels — flashings sized for 85mm roof panels.
The Adelaide Local Advantage

Every other major AU coolroom panel supplier ships from Melbourne or Sydney. That means interstate freight cost and 5–7 working days of waiting for delivery. For a small Adelaide project, that freight cost alone can equal the price of several metres of panels.
We hold stock at our Adelaide warehouse. Same-week delivery to all Adelaide metro suburbs, dispatch to regional SA, and Australia-wide delivery on request. See our Adelaide stock page for current lead times.
How to Request a Quote
- List the panels you need: thickness, length, quantity (e.g. “20 panels, 50mm, 2.7m”)
- List any accessories: corner channels, door hardware, aluminium joiners
- Tell us your postcode for a delivery quote
- Email sales@coolroommasters.com.au or use the contact form
Trade buyers, builders and installers should mention their ABN when getting in touch — trade pricing applies on volume orders.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Cool Room Master prices cheaper than competitors?
On a like-for-like spec (same thickness, same EPS core, same Colorbond skin), our published pricing typically matches or beats the major Melbourne and Sydney suppliers — once interstate freight is added back in. We don’t bury our pricing behind a quote form, so you can compare directly.
Do you offer trade pricing on cool room panels?
Yes. Trade buyers ordering panels at volume get a trade rate below the retail prices listed above. Mention your ABN when requesting a quote and the team will set you up.
Do you deliver outside Adelaide?
Yes — we dispatch Adelaide metro same-week, plus regional SA delivery and Australia-wide freight on request. Pricing depends on postcode and order size; quoted per job.
Are prices GST inclusive?
Yes — every price on our website and in this guide includes GST. The price you see is the price you pay.
Can I cut the panels myself, or do you cut to length?
Both. Most DIY customers cut on-site with a fine-tooth circular saw. We also offer cut-to-length service from our Adelaide warehouse — useful if you don’t have the workshop space.
What thickness do I need for a domestic cool room?
50mm is the standard recommendation for most cool rooms running +2°C to +5°C. Step up to 75mm if you’re storing frozen product or running the room 24/7. 35mm is partition-only — don’t use it for cool rooms.
Need exact pricing for your project?
Send your panel list and postcode — we’ll respond with a written quote. Adelaide pickup, metro delivery, or Australia-wide freight.
